Assignment
P2 - Letters A to J
Build a small site for letters A to J. For each letter, people must clearly see the letter, one thing that starts with it, and a picture of that thing. Present it your own way, then deploy it on Netlify.
What you are building
You are making a website with 10 letters: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J.
For each letter, a visitor must be able to tell: what letter it is, one word / object / element that starts with that letter, and see a picture of that object or element.
You do not have to make flip cards. You can design it however you want (scroll page, grid, gallery, story style, etc.). Look on Pinterest or elsewhere for ideas, then make it your own.
Required
- All 10 letters from A to J (no more, no less for this project)
- For every letter: the letter itself is obvious
- For every letter: one matching example that starts with that letter
- Each letter has a picture of that object/element
- Easy to use on a phone
- Live link on Netlify
Do not use the common beginner examples
These are too easy and too common. Do not use them:
Pick fresher words. Think of things you see in Ghana, school, food, animals, transport, or everyday life that still clearly start with that letter.
- A - Apple
- B - Ball
- C - Cat
Not required
- Flip / flashcard animation
- All 26 letters
- Login, scores, or games (unless you want a tiny extra and it still stays clear)
How to submit
- Build and deploy on Netlify
- Send / add your live Netlify link
- Make sure all 10 letters work on the live site
Grading checklist
I mark yes/no on the live site:
- Letters A to J are all present
- Each letter is easy to recognize
- Each letter has a clear matching word/object that starts with it
- Each letter has a picture of the matching object
- Did not use the banned common pairs (A-Apple, B-Ball, C-Cat)
- Layout is readable on a phone
- Live Netlify link works
- Presentation is their own design (not a copy-paste of the sample with no changes)
